Maximum drawdown

Learn how max drawdown works on a funded account.

Help CentreAccount Rules

What is max drawdown?

Maximum drawdown is the maximum total loss permitted on the account. If the account exceeds this limit, it may be breached.

Static drawdown

Only the 2-Step account uses a static drawdown that never moves. The 1-Step overall limit trails your highest balance until you are 7% in profit and then pins at your initial balance for good. Instant simulated evaluation trails your highest balance at all times, and a full withdrawal returns it to your initial balance. Flex changes at the funded stage: the 8% limit during the evaluation is static, but the funded account is 7% trailing from your highest balance and pins at your starting balance once you are 7% in profit. Do not size a funded Flex account against the 8% you had during the evaluation.
